Fret12 will select 5 winners and all the winning solos will be mixed into a master track to be featured on Fret12's sites. The winners will be selected by our special judge Laurie Monk.

Our judge is looking for simple playing, nice note selection, tone and overall control of the instrument. What we are not looking for; crazy picking passages, arpeggios by the dozen, technique virtuosity, double tracking. We hope this competition will be the first of many, covering other genres and styles such as metal, jazz, acoustic, blues, shred, etc...
